Mark Magarity is Chief Executive Officer and founder of The Sentry Companies. Mark has been in the hospitality industry for more than 38 years and is recognized as one of the Hotel, Resort and Conference Center operations and Real Estate industry leaders today. Early in his career, Mark was instrumental in the creation of the Conference Center concept and the growth of the industry, as he personally oversaw billions in Conference Center and Hospitality Development throughout the United States. He has shaped Sentry with a strong set of core values, and a vision of serving today's corporate participant/traveler in a unique and engaging manner focusing on creating memorable guest experiences. Mark’s vision and quest for constant innovation ensures that Sentry's Hospitality’s Operating and Real Estate companies maintain their position as one of the premier operators and investment firms in the industry. Mark oversees every aspect of the organization and is responsible for Sentry’s growth and investor relations endeavors in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Virginia. Prior to founding The Sentry Companies, Mark held key senior level positions with industry leading companies such as Sheraton Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and Benchmark Hospitality. Mark’s successes in providing first-rate hospitality services over many years has created a corporate culture driven by customer care, knowledge, technology/talent management, associate empowerment, and solid investment returns.
Executive Vice President, Finance
Christopher Calabrese is Executive Vice President, Finance at Sentry. Christopher is responsible for company investments, financing, funding and logistical coordination with Sentry Investment Partners and the finance industry. Chris leads the Sentry team in engaging and negotiating Sentry acquisitions, developments ,and strategic partnerships within the hospitality and private residence real estate sectors. Prior to joining Sentry, Christopher was Managing Director, The Renatus Group and CEO, LifeStyle Home Search, Inc. This experience has been an incredible asset to Sentry’s endeavors.
Chief Administrative Officer
Jeff Meaney is Chief Administrative Officer at Sentry. Jeff’s responsibilities include Sentry operations in Real Estate, Security, Business Continuity, as well as leading the effort in global management and service improvement for Sentry ventures. Jeff has had an extensive and successful career holding senior executive roles managing operations in Corporate Services Development with giants such as Morgan Stanley, Federal Reserve Bank of NY, TIAA-CREF, and Durst Organization. With great significance, Jeff’s proven track record in customer service and operational assessment has made a positive contribution to Sentry.
Geoff Graham is Sentry's "Experienced Economist." Geoff has accumulated over 28 years of experience in the operations, planning, and development sectors of a wide variety of hospitality industry products. His background includes diversified experience in hotel operations; food and beverage operations; strategic planning; and market and financial analysis. This experience includes overseeing projects at AT&T, IBM, Morgan Stanley, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Bank of America, Benchmark, and others. Geoff’s varied experience in the hospitality industry enables him to provide broad-scope development planning assistance to Sentry’s efforts with property operations, sales and marketing oversight, and implementation.
Global Vice President, Corporate Conference Operations
As Global VP of Sentry Corporate Conference Operations, Laura overseas portfolios of conference and event venues at Sentry managed properties, governs the production of special project endeavors, and leads the effort in associate customer service and communication training. Laura’s prior extensive experience as VP at Morgan Stanley, and serving as Mobil Corporation’s Public Relations Associate, contributes significantly to achieving Sentry’s desired goals and objectives in the corporate hospitality world.
Senior Executive Director, Office of Concierge
James (Jim) McManus is Sentry's Executive Director, Office of Concierge. Jim brings 32 years of experience as Business Development Manager for Party Rental Ltd., a company that has been a leader in the hospitality industry since 1972. Jim has a strong passion and a unique perspective for events management with a philosophy to create, execute and exceed client visions. He is a graduate of Cornell School of Hotel Administration, has been a longtime member of The Society of Hospitality and Foodservice Management (SHFM). Jim embraces and has contributed significantly to sustaining Sentry’s shared core values of Excellence, Innovation, Teamwork, Respect, Safety, and Integrity in doing business.
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations
As Senior Vice President of Investor Relations, Jack oversees investments and banker relationships for Sentry. After 20 years of automobile success through hard work and focus on customer satisfaction, Jack re-positioned his entrepreneurial spirit to the financial sector, where he founded International Mortgage Services, a large mortgage banking company. Through the years, Jack financed numerous large projects throughout the US. As his business expanded, he launched an insurance division as well as a title agency under his financial umbrella. Jack has most recently served as Director of Business Development for Stalwart Construction, an NYC construction and development firm, putting to use his skill in customer service. Jack sat on the board of the NY/NJ Oldsmobile dealer council, the board of the Cadillac Tristatesmen, and the advisory board of the National Academy of Finance in New Jersey.
Director of Human Resources Management
Tina Kahny is Director of Human Resources Management for Sentry Hospitality. Tina brings numerous years of experience as a hospitality ambassador facilitating comprehensive HR tools to deliver strategy and the ability to monitor progress towards Sentry’s goals and objectives. Tina oversees Sentry’s staffing recruitment efforts, as well as talent management programs requiring careful planning and a thorough understanding of industry elements that work in unison to drive company results.
Vice President/Area General Manager
Conference Center Operations
As VP/Area General Manager of Sentry’s Conference Center operations, Archana (Archie) oversees our Morgan Stanley portfolio, as well as participating in numerous Sentry special projects. Archie has 20 years of hospitality experience specializing in Conference Center operations, event planning, catering group sales, and room operations. Prior to joining Sentry, Archie was with Millennium Hotels and Resorts in New York City. This extensive experience has contributed an unparalleled level of commitment, professionalism, and passion to Sentry’s hospitality operations.
Director, Corporate Concierge
Daniel (Danny) is Sentry’s Director, Corporate Concierge. Danny currently leads our Guest Relations team providing a very specialized level of concierge services to Morgan Stanley clients, guests, and employees. Danny has a strong ability to go above and beyond to ensure all clients are accommodated to their complete satisfaction. He consistently guides his team to achieve an exemplary first impression for very individual upon arrival and ensures that time spent at the property exceeds client expectations before departure. Danny’s commitment to providing stellar guest services has contributed substantially to all of Sentry’s undertakings.
Director, Agile Workplace Experience (AWE)
Fiona is Sentry’s flexible workspace brand ambassador for our Agile Workplace Experience (AWE) efforts. Fiona leads the team to model Sentry’s mission, values and behaviors for all colleagues, and coaches to achieve brand alignment, promotion of collaboration, and service excellence. Fiona guides the service culture for our properties ensuring teams are fully trained and fluent in all flexible workspace service offerings and product types. She has built and maintained strong relationships with vendor partners, tenants, and other stakeholders, and has successfully managed processes such as hiring, training, and development of workplace teams.
Director, Business Administration & Lifestyle Services
Gabrielle is Sentry's Director of Business Administration and Lifestyle Services. Her expertise in front office management and property services stems from years of experience within the hotel and fitness industries. She prides herself on creating impressive and creative experiences at every level. Gabrielle aids in the administration of all Sentry Companies' projects, including oversight of information management, marketing, and creative services.
