ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Running meetings and events smoothly requires a keen attention to detail. Being involved in every stage of planning, including smaller tasks such as arranging, changing seating plans or drafting contingency locations and emails, are key components to staying focused within your planning preparations and ensuring a successful event.

ORGANIZATION & TIME MANAGEMENT
Organization and effective time management are the cornerstones of a Sentry Conference Coordinator. Keeping your colleagues informed, meeting deadlines, and ensuring vital documents and information are well-organized will create an efficient and successful event every time.
TECHNOLOGY AFFINITY
Audio Visual Solutions were previously used as a support tool within the meetings industry. In Sentry’s world today “tech knowledge”, familiarity, and the proper use of this language is a vital part of our meetings and events. Within the industry, Conference Coordinators are increasingly shifting to event management software in lieu of spreadsheets due to its added convenience and features.
ADAPTABILITY & IMAGINATION
Adaptability and imagination in planning and coordinating events can sometimes prove difficult, especially if you’re restricted by client constraints or guidelines. This may not leave room for creativity and innovation; however, no two events are the same. If you’re limited by your client’s requirements, you need to adapt and be creative in order to make the most of your conference coordinating skill set and implement a meeting and event that will stand out.
LEADERSHIP
The ability to work well within our entire team is an essential skill for all Sentry roles. However, becoming a successful Sentry Manager, Coordinator, Receptionist, or Set-Up Associate is defined by your leadership and team building skills. Everyone can learn to motivate or organize a team but ultimately, it will depend on your passion for meeting and event planning.

AGILE WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE (AWE)

The Sentry Agile Workplace Experience (“AWE”) combines an open floor plan design and conference center concept together in a manner that encourages mobility, wellness, and collaboration through a modern design and flow of the floor. Sentry community management is there to provide the highest levels of guest service and support while upholding the policies defined for the floor. Community managers handle communications in all directions to ensure the success of day-to-day operations so that community engagement is encouraged and strong relationships are both cultivated and nurtured.
